These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bolt Identity platform, including our website (boltidentity.com), portal, APIs, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, using our Services, or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to these Terms. We provide identity verification, fraud detection, and risk assessment tools to help businesses protect against fraud while complying with applicable laws. Our Services are offered on a subscription or usage-based model, with payments processed securely via third-party providers like Stripe. We emphasize security, compliance, and user responsibility—you must use the Services lawfully, and we disclaim liability for misuse. For data privacy details, refer to our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with these Terms, do not use our Services.
1. Introduction & Scope
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”, or “User”) and Bolt Identity Ltd. (“Bolt”, “we”, “us”, “our”) regarding your use of the Services. The Services include:
- Creating and managing an account on our platform or portal
- Accessing our verification APIs (e.g., Email Lookup, Phone Lookup, IP Lookup, BIN Lookup, Address Lookup, AML for Persons/Businesses, Fraud Engine)
- Using any tools, features, or documentation provided through boltidentity.com or related sites
These Terms apply to all users, including individuals, businesses, and representatives acting on behalf of entities. If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and capable of forming a binding contract. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, with notice provided as described in Section 15.
2. Definitions
- Account: Your registered profile on our platform, including login credentials and API keys.
- API: Application Programming Interfaces provided by Bolt for integrating verification services.
- Content: Any data, information, or materials you submit to the Services, including personal data for verification.
- Services: As defined in Section 1, including all features, updates, and support.
- User Data: Data you provide or generate through the Services, excluding Bolt's proprietary data.
3. Account Registration & Use
To access certain Services, you must create an Account by providing accurate information such as your full name, email address, company details, and payment information (if applicable). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account credentials, including passwords and API keys, and for all activities under your Account.
You agree to:
- Provide true, accurate, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account.
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your Account if we suspect misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms. You may not create multiple Accounts to circumvent restrictions or quotas.
4. Services Description
Bolt provides real-time identity verification and fraud detection services using AI-driven analysis to assess risks such as fraudulent emails, disposable phones, proxy usage, and more. Our Services include:
- API endpoints for lookups and screenings.
- A user portal for managing Accounts, viewing usage metrics, and accessing results.
- Optional integrations and custom configurations upon request.
We aim to provide high-availability Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. Results from our Services are advisory only, based on data available at the time of processing, and do not guarantee complete accuracy, real-time updates, or detection of all risks across all Services due to inherent limitations in data sources, system capabilities, or external factors. You are responsible for any decisions based on them, including compliance with anti-fraud, AML, and data protection laws.
We may offer free trials, zero-charge parallel testing with existing providers, or promotional features. These are subject to limitations and may be revoked at our discretion.
5. Fees & Payment
Certain Services are usage-based or subscription-based. Pricing details are available on our website or upon request. We may offer a free tier for limited use or testing.
- Payments are processed via Stripe or other third-party providers. You authorize us to charge your provided payment method for all fees.
- Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or in cases of our material breach.
- You are responsible for all taxes, duties, and charges related to your use of the Services.

- Custom top-ups (prepaid). For enterprise or custom verification lookups outside standard subscription plans, prepaid top-ups may be purchased under a separate Order Form or invoice. Prepaid top-ups are deducted as lookups are consumed, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable once credited.
- Custom top-ups (postpaid). For approved enterprise accounts, Bolt may allow custom postpaid billing for verification lookups outside standard subscription plans. Postpaid top-ups are invoiced monthly (or at agreed intervals) and payable within the period stated on the invoice. Failure to pay may result in suspension of Services or refusal of further custom access.
If you qualify for region-specific hosting or custom routing (as mentioned in our Privacy Policy), additional fees may apply.
6. User Obligations & Prohibited Uses
You agree to use the Services responsibly and not to:
- Use the Services for illegal activities, including violating data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) or submitting data without proper consent.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Services.
- Overload, spam, or disrupt the Services (e.g., excessive API calls beyond your quota).
- Submit false, misleading, or harmful Content.
- Share API keys or Account access with unauthorized parties.
- Use the Services to process data of minors under 16 without explicit safeguards.
You represent that any Content you submit complies with applicable laws and that you have obtained necessary consents for processing personal data. You must indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse (see Section 12).
7. Intellectual Property
The Services, including all software, APIs, algorithms, and documentation, are owned by Bolt or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your internal business purposes during the term of your subscription.
You retain ownership of your User Data, but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store it as necessary to provide the Services and improve our offerings (in anonymized form where possible).
You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services without our written consent.
8. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to treat the other’s confidential information (e.g., API keys, business data) with care and not disclose it except as required to provide or use the Services, or by law. This obligation survives termination.
9. Data Protection
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You agree to comply with data protection laws when using the Services and to provide any required notices to individuals whose data you submit.
10. Warranties & Disclaimers
We warrant that the Services will perform substantially as described and that we will use reasonable efforts to maintain security measures as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ACCURACY OF RESULTS OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” and Bolt Identity Ltd. makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. The Services provide advisory results based on data and technology available at the time of processing and do not guarantee complete accuracy, real-time updates, or detection of all risks across any Service due to inherent limitations in data sources, system capabilities, or external factors. Bolt Identity Ltd. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, fines, penalties, or regulatory costs, arising from your use of the Services, any errors or interruptions, or any decisions based thereon.
The Services may contain errors or inaccuracies, and Bolt Identity Ltd. does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bolt Identity Ltd. shall have no liability to you for any claims, losses, or damages of any kind, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services. Bolt may, at its sole discretion, attempt corrective action or extend your subscription term as your sole remedy, with no liability for damages. Exclusions include any implied terms under sections 3 and 4 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, where legally permissible, to reinforce that Bolt is not liable for service performance beyond what’s promised. Nothing in this clause shall exclude or limit liability for fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bolt, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your Content or use of the Services; or (c) your non-compliance with laws.
We will indemnify you against claims that the Services infringe third-party intellectual property rights, subject to prompt notice and cooperation.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or legal requirements, with or without notice.
You may terminate by closing your Account and ceasing use. Upon termination, you must pay any outstanding fees, and we may delete your data (subject to our Privacy Policy retention rules).
Sections surviving termination include 7 (IP), 8 (Confidentiality), 10 (Disclaimers), 11 (Liability), 12 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing Law).
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of London, England.

15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our Services, laws, or practices. We will post the updated Terms on our website with a new effective date and notify you via email or the portal for material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
16. Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.
- No Waiver: Failure to enforce a right does not waive it.
- Assignment: We may assign these Terms in a corporate transaction; you may not without our consent.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, plus any signed agreements, constitute the full understanding.
